With a dedicated health, safety, environment, quality and compliance manager as part of our senior management team, we maintain high compliance standards across our operations. Our ISO 45001, SiteWise Gold and ISNetworld certifications are audited proof of this. We adopt a collaborative approach with workers, clients and contractors ensuring our practices meet Health and Safety at Work Act (2015) requirements and are practical on-site. We have trained and commited health and safety representatives who play a key part of ensuring our workers are safe and engaged in health and safety at work. Our risk management practices, company and site inductions, and commitment to training and competency mean we provide safe sites for workers, clients, and the public. That work is bolstered by our skilled and respected traffic management division which ensures compliant traffic management exists for our workers and the traveling public.
Our commitment to quality is non-negotiable and driven from the top. We expect a high standard of workmanship from our team and if something doesn’t meet that standard, we address it before handing our work over to the client. Our internal processes and procedures are robust and ensure we meet our quality assurance commitments, project specifications and client expectations. We regularly audit all aspects of our operation to ensure we maintain our high standard of workmanship and quality outcomes for our clients and communities. Quality is an everyday conversation, we purposefully talk about it in our toolbox meetings, operational planning, project debriefs, monthly staff meetings and general daily operations. We strive for continual opportunities to improve and streamline our ISO 9001 certified systems.
With strong Iwi connections throughout our workforce we have a natural affinity for the preservation of the environment and the historic and cultural heritage of our region. We plan our work to minimise our impact on the environment including the protection of wildlife, waterways, flora and fauna. With concrete work a large part of our business, we are particularly mindful of preventing runoff into waterways. We comply with Hawke’s Bay Regional Council guidelines for works around waterways as well as erosion and sediment control. Our vehicles have spill kits, and staff are trained to use them so we can rapidly respond to any incident that could adversely affect the environment. We monitor our environmental compliance and conduct regular internal and site audits. Where possible we recycle and reuse around 80 percent of our excavated material including all excavated concrete and basecourse.
We hold current SiteWise Gold certification, consistently scoring over 90% in our annual assessments. Our clients and workers can have confidence that our health and safety policies, procedures and performance have been externally audited and certified.
We hold current ISO 45001:2018 certification demonstrating our commitment to achieving and maintaining high standards in health and safety performance for our people, clients and community.

We hold current ISO 9001:2015 certification confirming our systems and processes both in the office and on our worksites are dynamic, robust and externally audited.
